PT Animal Control
Summary
Performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled duties necessary to properly care for the detained animals.
Essential Functions
Supply food, water, cleaning and personal care to detained animals with the ability to move 50 pound bags of food.
Maintain detailed records of adoption requests, animal releases and impounded animals as required.
Work closely with the public answering their complaints and report it to the AC supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in an animal shelter and in the public. Exposure to tame, feral, injured and sick animals. Exposure to the elements.
Physical Demands
This is an active position with caring, feeding and handling animals.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Normal days and hours of work are scheduled but may vary to cover vacation and vacancies.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Euthanasia certification.
- One or more years’ animal shelter or veterinary experience.
